The English Cricket Club of Saigon (ECCS) was founded in 2006. The development of cricket facilities at the RMIT
in HCMC caused the creation of 5 cricket clubs that year, and having worked with and played for the new Australian club,
a few Englishmen living in HCMC decided it would be prudent to start an English version,
not least so a Vietnam-based Ashes rivalry could be started and maintained.
We are not an exclusive English-only club, our members include:
English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh,
Australian, South African, Kiwis, Indians, Vietnamese, Dutch and a few others.
We are truly Multi-National and everyone is welcome to play, party or both!
We train most weekends
throughout the year at The Boat Yard and from November to May we play on Saturdays or Sundays in the VCA T20 League at the Saigon Cricket Ground in D10.
Anyone is welcome to come and try, train or play. Our Facebook page displays our latest fixtures and updates.
We also field Teams in the Saigon Cricket
Sixes Leagues mid-week at The Boat Yard for Men + Women.
Our Women's T20 Squad is developing well
as are our Juniors + Kids.
We also support developing Cricket Clubs
in Da Nang, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Hanoi and Vung Tau.
We arrange International Tours and host
visiting teams: Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia, India
to mention a few of our our recent ones.
This is on top of having
2 representative teams in the VCA International 6’s tournament each year.
